Vaccination Made Easier as the Ministry Prepares for the Delta Variant
Members of the public are advised as of Friday 30th July, 2021, no appointments will be necessary to access COVID-19 vaccines at all Drive-through Vaccination Facilities. World Health Organisation (WHO) approved Sinopharm vaccines (1st and 2nd dose) are being administered.
This also applies to the Mass Vaccination Facilities in Trinidad except for the UTT Chaguanas Campus and the National Racquet Sport Centre as 2nd dose AstraZeneca vaccines are being administered at those facilities.
As part of the national strategy to counteract the impending negative impact of the Delta variant of the COVID-19 virus, the decision has been taken to enhance public access to the COVID-19 vaccine. This initiative is aimed at increasing the reach, accessibility and convenience for members of the public seeking to be vaccinated against COVID-19. The population is encouraged to avail themselves of this opportunity to protect themselves and their loved ones from the COVID-19 virus.
